Ron Bruno, LMSW, has been the Executive Director at MRHS for more than sixteen years. Mr. Bruno has a Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree from Hunter College as well as a New York State Certificate in Social Work Administration from Hunter. Mr. Bruno serves on the board of directors of the West Side Inter-Agency Council for the Aging (WSIACA) and Lifeforce in Later Years (LiLY), and is a member of the Aging Advisory Committee at Columbia University School of Social Work. Mr. Bruno has published in the Journal of Gerontological Social Work and has led workshops at the annual conference of the American Society on Aging (ASA) for the past five years.
Joanna Stolove, LCSW has been the Assistant Director at MRHS since 2007. Ms. Stolove has a Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree from Yeshiva University and completed advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Prior to joining MRHS, Ms. Stolove was a Mental Health Liaison at the Jewish Guild for the Blind and a private practitioner.
Margaret Bianchi has been the MRHS Office Manager since 2002. A graduate of Fordham University, she brings a wealth of administrative experience working in the non-profit field. Working with a community like MRHS has been a richly rewarding experience.
Stacia Steen, RN started at MRHS in September 2019. Ms. Steen is a graduate of the Long Island University School of Nursing. She also received a Bachelor’s in Economics from The City University of New York. Prior to joining MRHS, Ms. Steen worked at both Penn South and Cadman Towers Naturally Occurring Retirement Community (NORC) Programs. In addition, Ms. Steen brings a wealth of knowledge as a case manager for over 8 years at the New Jewish Home Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA) where she provided and coordinated multidisciplinary health services for patients in the community and collaborated with physicians and other team members on the implementation of care.
Saudia Garnette, Social Worker, is a graduate of the Rutgers University online program. Ms. Garnette studied Human Services at The New York City College of Technology and earned an AAS degree in 2016. She received her Bachelors in Art History from Hunter College in 2012. Ms. Garnette is new to Social Work but has always been passionate about working with older adults. Prior to entering the helping profession, she worked in magazine publishing for 26 years.
